This is the gymnasium that served as the stage for the match against Sanno Kogyo—the ultimate rival and undisputed kings of high school basketball, having achieved three consecutive national championships. It is the setting for the legendary "Shohoku vs. Sanno" showdown; the interior was meticulously recreated in the 2022 film THE FIRST SLAM DUNK, which depicts this most intense of storylines.

Are there set hours for tours?

Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You must first check in at the management office located at the rear of the building; tours are conducted with a staff member present.
*You may view the exterior of the building outside of these hours.

Can I go by car?

Yes, you may visit by private vehicle; however, the gymnasium has only four parking spaces, which are reserved for facility users.
As the site is located within the Hiroshima University of Economics campus, please be sure to follow the instructions of security personnel or site staff.
*We recommend using nearby parking lots.

Can I get there by train from Hiroshima Station?

Please board the JR Kabe Line train bound for Aki-Kameyama departing from Platform 4. The nearest station is Shimo-Gion Station.
It is five stops from Hiroshima Station; the fare is 210 yen, and the travel time is 13 minutes.
